Management needs to be fired

This place is worst place I have ever lived. We actually broke our lease early because we couldn’t take it anymore. Maintenance requests don’t get completed, management never answers the phone or gives false promises. There is dog poop everywhere. The renovated apartments look like they were painted by a drunk 2 year old. This place is tuning into a slumlord place to live.

Don’t do it!

We reported water damage during an inspection in May and they didn’t address it until the middle of July… turns out it was a construction error. The team was awful at communicating with each other and especially us (would tell us something would be done and wouldn’t be done until we called sometimes multiple times). Offered us movers in consolation for the bad service and the more than 3 weeks we were out of our apartment because of the damage and then took it back when we tried to confirm. Save… yourself time, effort, and energy by going somewhere else.

Old reviews vs Now

Caution, not the best place to be anymore
Not the best anymore. When I moved here in 2019 it was great. Now, with the fancy lighting in the kitchen, you are responsible for getting these bulbs and changing your water filter and even changing the bulb in the stove. Add that to your cost of luxury living here. With all the changes (financially) since I moved in, I might as well be a home owner. The pool area is filthy over the weekend (not really the mangers fault) but it shows what type of people… are now living here. The dog park is by far the worst with not control over people picking up behind their pets, even though I understand because the grass is ALWAYS overgrown. Even on grass cutting day it's still high, never cut low enough to get the dog poop. I won't even get started on the trash situation. Just know that if it remains the way it is, mice will come to live here (mostlyon weekends). It's sad when the garbage dump is 100 feet from the dog park but people choose to use the can in front of the dog park instead of walking the extra 100 feet. Rating when I moved in was 4.8 maybe even a 5 but now I give them a 3.0 and it's falling fast. We were just given notice of vandalism and don't walk alone. What does that say about your safety! What you see M-F during office hours is very different from the weekend. Just Beware.

DO NOT MOVE HERE!

When we first moved in it was good, the place stayed clean. As time went by the maintenance slacked on cleaning. The construction crew would leave their trash laying around. The maintenance also flooded my apartment 3 times and all the office said is we can come clean it tomorrow!! REALLY!! Like I'm going to leave water on my floors till the next day!! But what really makes me not recommend this place is that you have to pay your rent on time (which I always did) or else you get late charges.… BUT when they owe you money like the return of your deposit or a charge at the end of your lease for something you didn't have (we were charged a carpet cleaning charge and didn't even have carpet!!) they take their sweet time! I've waited for 3 months for a reimbursement that has yet to make it to my mailbox! They make all kinds of excuses and blame others in the office!! Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. Harpers Retreat/Allied Orion are NOT the place to be!! I hope the residents that live here now are more fortunate that we are on getting their deposits back!

Simply put, this place is great!

I’ve lived here a couple months so far and have really enjoyed it. The management staff is nice and helpful, and my apartment feels like home. Plus, the property is constantly hosting resident events like bingo and food trucks which has been a life saver more than once after a long day.
