Prestige at Barker Cypress

Just so nice and the office staff is so friendly !!

The property was provenza at Barker Cypress until about 6 months ago, and it was a decent place to live. Once it became prestige at Barker Cypress and under the new management it went downhill very fast. It started when I renewed the lease, and the payment was wrong on the first of the month, I went to the office to ask about it, and they told me it would be split into 2 payments for that month, which is fine, but the apartment manager then says at least you said something most people would have... just lied. I found this kind of weird thing to say, but people have bad days, get jaded, and so on, so no big deal. The next month it was the same amount, and the way the portal works you only can pay what is owed, so I think maybe its split into 2 again, but I pay the most it will allow. 2 days later on a Saturday at work, I get an email saying the are starting the eviction process on Monday. I cant do anything over the weekend, I go in to see her Monday, and she says she had tried to get a hold of me, but I wouldnt respond. This included her making 2 calls from a number where the apartment was not listed, no emails or note on the door, until threatening to evict me. I found this super unprofessional, but they did erase the late fees since the portal locked me out. All of this could be forgiven, but the last was going to work this last Thursday, I found that they had towed my car from the complex. I went and asked them politely wtf? I was told there were cars that were old, unused, and if they were not registered they were having them towed. The car I am driving is a 2018 jeep grand cherokee, that is taken every day to work. The reason it was towed was the registration was out by less than a month! This place goes above and beyond to harass the tenants. I would definitely stay away. Don't do it! Never had issues with service request been here 5 years....now its pure comedy! And they do it with a straight face!

Really disappointed in the transfer of management and migration to new owners, all paper work was lost and did not honor lease to vacate property. I have gone in person to speak with a manager in person and they refuse to come out. Very shady apartment management.
