Cons: The unit and building are old and worn and it shows, the maintenance team on site is terrible - every job was done halfway and every month there was a new problem that would take multiple visits to fix, it’s ALWAYS loud between the never ending parade of garbage and construction trucks during the day and the homeless/drunk people at night, my car got broken into (window shattered, backpack stolen) in the supposedly secure gated parking garage, paper thin walls, and laughably overpriced for... what you get - you’re paying for location.

I can't receive packages, didn't have access to my mailbox for 2 months, am being charged for a balcony apartment without a balcony, was sent the wrong lease and a new one at a higher price. Seriously this property is terrible. They have made my life so much more stressful. Only move here if you're ok with your home being anxiety inducing. I can't wait to move.

Just to list a few issues over the last year:

- They are installing a new entry system which has made it impossible to know which access doors actually work. I currently to enter on the complete opposite side of the building. This issue has been going on a for a week, management sent an email saying it just started yesterday and would be resolved by the end of the day. It is still not operating properly.
- Fire alarm out of control at various times including in the middle of the night / early... morning. It goes off so frequently that no one evacuates anymore so if there ever was an actual fire it'd be devastating.
- Water leaks, etc. I've had multiple leaks in my ceiling over the last year. Management is slow to respond and still hasn't fixed any of the damage to the ceiling.

Maintenance doesn't fix anything of importance (windows not closing, electrical, smelly apartment) without you saying you're going to talk to a lawyer. They may change an air filter. Upon move in, I had a list of issues and none of them were fixed, but the work order submitted was marked "Completed". I put in work order after work order (maybe once a month) for one of the issues, but the work orders were marked "Completed" without the work actually getting done (over the course of maybe 6... months). Finally, I had to let them know I would be talking to a lawyer to see if I just have to pay rent and just live with this and then the problem was fixed in a week. If you want to go cheap, go cheap. There are cheap apartments in the area (maybe smaller or with issues but it's expected). If you want to spend a decent amount, spend a little more or search a little harder, and get a decent apartment. Find one with a move in checklist management completes to ensure everything works and the apartment is actually move in ready, prior to your move in. Oh and the smell was in the entire apartment. I thought maybe it was the neighbors cooking, coming through the AC duct, but I found a big chunk of food in the dishwasher....also found dog food and crumbs under the fridge. This complex has a great location right in the middle of Uptown, Dallas. It's surrounded by tons of bars and restaurants. If night life and walk-ability is important to you, this is the place to be. Considering the price of rent in relation to it's location, this place has good value. It's a little bit on the older side of apartment complexes compared to the new high rises currently going up all over Uptown and could use some TLC in some places, but it's still nice.
