Barcelona on Chisholm Trail

First let me say that I initially loved my apartment and would have stayed here year after year. We have had a plumbing leak since June, I have contacted the office multiple times over the past 2 months and keep getting the run around from the management team and catalyst. They keep saying we are waiting to get on the plumbers schedule and nothing happens. I lost thousands of dollars worth of my belongings due to this leak, and still nothing happens. I was a tenant at Barcelona on Chisholm Trail from May 3rd, 2025 to February 23rd, 2026. I intended to let the experience disappear into the rearview mirror, but after problems during and even after my tenancy, I believe it deserves to be documented.

My original move-in date was May 1st, but management delayed it until May 3rd. To their credit, they honored that date and prorated my rent. Unfortunately, that was about where my confidence in the property began to decline.

When I moved in, the… apartment already had a cockroach problem. Management arranged pest control, but I eventually began buying my own bait stations and gel bait because repeated treatment was still necessary.

I also documented leaking kitchen plumbing, a clogged garbage disposal, soft or hollow areas beneath the flooring, a patio screen door that repeatedly came off its track, and a missing living-room window screen.

On June 19th, I sent management a written list of outstanding problems. By August 4th, about 90 days after moving in, I was still following up. Maintenance eventually repaired the leaking plumbing and screen door, and I gave them credit in writing for those repairs.

That visit also resulted in a master key to my apartment being accidentally left on my patio.

By December, I had exhausted my patience. I sent certified correspondence to Catalyst management requesting early termination because of the continuing problems. Catalyst later approved my February 23rd, 2026 move-out.

Then, on April 15th, I received a collection demand for $100.49 connected to my former Barcelona account without a satisfactory explanation of what the charge represented.

I spent months trying to get an explanation. After escalating the matter again in writing and stating that I was prepared to pursue it formally, I was copied on an email from Catalyst’s regional manager instructing the collection company to cancel the balance, cease further collection activity, and have it removed from the credit bureaus.

That was the resolution.

I can tolerate mistakes and delays. What I cannot tolerate is repeatedly documenting problems, escalating them through management just to get meaningful attention, moving out under an agreement management approved, and then fighting months later over a $100.49 balance Catalyst ultimately ordered cancelled.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Barcelona on Chisholm Trail, and I certainly cannot recommend any property managed by Catalyst Multifamily Management. Read More

I been a resident of this complex for about 7 years now and ever since we have gotten new management it has gone down hill management is RUDE and does not want to help residents at all blames residents for all problems doesnt maintain the apartments properly and wont even clean the pool.. they sent an email out saying the pool was open and clean the pool was dirty,foggy, and overall not clean and they are letting children and people with their babies swim in this water. On top of that they rush… maintenance and dont wnat to solve the actual problem they are understaffed and cheap they dont do what a good management should be doin and in my personal opinion the rent here is not equal to the quality i would not recommend if i could give a 0 star review i would. The only word I can say is AMAZING!! Shay was my leasing agent and she was extraordinary. She placed me in a unit that was perfect for me! I don't know how she knew that I am an introvert but she did. She made the process so EZ. My apartment was clean and great! I was skeptical of the whole process and the way the apartment would look because of the move in special. To my surprise it was great...clean, smell good, nothing was half way put together and also what you pay for is what you get… meaning, you pay for trash they actually come and pick it up from your doorstep. I've paid for trash at other apartments and I still had to take it to the dumpster myself! So many perks come for living in the Barcelona on Chisholm Trail that's wonderful! This place is in such a great location, two main hwys access and various stores and eateries. For the price point... I am in LOVE WITH THE BARCELONA ON CHISOLM TRAIL ..!!!
