Here’s the review updated with the correct property name:

I normally try to be understanding when unexpected issues happen, but my experience at Northside at The Woodlands has been beyond disappointing.

My air conditioning has been out for almost a week during extreme Texas heat. Throughout this entire situation, I have had to do all of the communication myself—through emails, phone calls, and in-person visits. I have received little to no proactive updates from the leasing office. I was told… the property manager would stay until the HVAC company arrived, but they never came, and she didn’t stay either.

At this point, the blame continues to be placed on the HVAC company. While that may be true, it’s still management’s responsibility to communicate with residents, provide updates, and find solutions. When I asked about accommodations and requested contact information for upper management, my emails suddenly started being ignored.

Unfortunately, this isn’t the only issue with this property. The building is consistently dirty, the dumpster is frequently overflowing, and the pool was supposedly going to be repaired within two days—but weeks later, it’s still unavailable.

The package room is another major concern. Packages are often left scattered across the floor instead of being secured in the lockers, making them vulnerable to theft or damage.

Perhaps the biggest safety concern is the lack of secure building access. Residents are told the entry doors are being worked on, yet anyone can walk in and out of the building whenever they want. That is unacceptable and makes residents feel unsafe.

Communication, accountability, and overall management have been extremely disappointing. Residents should not have to chase down updates, ask repeatedly for basic information, or fight to be heard when dealing with essential repairs. For the amount of rent residents pay, I expected much better service and much better management. I cannot recommend living at Northside at The Woodlands based on my experience.

Stay Away

on’t move here. There are plenty of better apartments out there!

From day 1 of trying to get in contact for a tour of the complex, it’s been a hassle. The man I met with offered me a deal that he couldn’t offer me. The apartment then refused to honor what he said. That was red flag one.
Some major issues:
1. The pool doesn’t ever work. The pool is closed about 85% of the time, so hopefully you don’t plan to use it. They don’t let residents know u til days later. This month alone (June 23) it’s… been closed the total of about two and a half weeks.
2. Stolen mail. They don’t take care of the mailroom or monitor theft. Two days ago I went in and packages were opened and rifled through. They don’t care.
3. Dog park is garbage. It’s not even a park as much as it is a patch of dirt with rocks. The water fountain broke and the manager told me they won’t pay to replace it.
4. The walls are extremely thin and the place looks like it was built in a hurry. Crooked cabinets, pencil marks all over the concrete floors. You can hear everyone above you.

The worst part of this place is they refuse to work with you. There is a huge lack of communication. Every resident is getting out as soon as there lease is up because this place sucks so hard. Stay away!

We are saddened that you are not happy here at Northside at the Woodlands. We communicate with our residents through email blasts. We checked the notification settings on your portal and it appears you are getting the notifications as… many of those are marked read. We typically close our pools to clean, as this is done daily. It appears there is some miscommunication about the fountain. It was explained, that our vendors are working on finding a part for the fountain. Please feel free to place a work order regarding the cabinets and the flooring of your apartment. If you have any other questions or concerns please don't hesitate to contact us here in the office.
