Cambridge Village

These apartments are in a great location especially for families. Schools, restaurants, DMV, and Walmart are all within walking distance of apartments. It is also located near the Police station so it is a very safe area to live. The staff is very nice and helpful when you have issues with your apartment. Apartments have a small pool and gym which could be improved, but overall decent for the amount you pay monthly. Neighbors are friendly and don't bother you much which I thought was great.... The good:
- BEAUTIFUL clubhouse space. You can rent it out for events, great place to have birthday parties, baby showers, etc.
- descent monthly rent for the amount of space you get
- usually plenty of close parking
- office manager super friendly and nice.. Willing to listen and does what she can to help
- scenery around complex nice.. There's a park within walking distance and there's a nice walking/biking path right next to the complex
- descent pool area
- neighbors we have are nice and... friendly

The not so good:
- no ceiling lights or fans!
- the applicances are super old, but you get what you pay for. At least they work.
- the building doesn't seem to be energy efficient... Our AC bill has been pretty high for this small space - the insulation of the building doesn't seem to help much.
- they have a sauna in the workout room that is broken and have decided not to get it fixed :(
- The ventilation system for the dryer hook up does not seem to work well. Our dryer takes at least two rotations to dry clothes when hooked up to the wall, but when we run the hose to the bathtub it does fine. The vent seems to be clogged with a lot of lent... It took us going to the office three times (with our own trashbag full of lent we cleaned out of the vent in the attic) to finally get them to pay somebody to come out and clean the vents. Even after the people supposedly cleaned the vents our dryer still is not working very well when hooked into the wall. I think this problem is just in our specific building though, I think the other ones are fine.

Overall:
It's not a bad place to live. If you're trying to save money or maybe this is a starter place it's worth considering. The location is great too because there's lots of grocery stores close by and youre pretty close to the highway as well. We are glad we started here but we are also glad to be moving on.
