The Dove's Nest

These apartments offer no privacy whatsoever. There is little to no insulation, you can hear everything that goes on around you. It is nearly impossible to keep the apartment cool in the summer. The first 4 months living here, I didn't have a working stove/oven. Numerous calls to management did nothing, I had to go through McAllen Housing Authority to get a working stove. The hardwood flooring feature is an outright lie, these have cheap vinyl flooring (literal peel and stick cheapness). The… floors are literally warped and lumpy. You can feel air blowing through the door strike plates. The rent was raised (nearly doubled) at random and no one was given a proper 30 day notice. Rent was still increased even in the middle of a supposed 1 year lease. The paint on the walls is nearly kids sidewalk chalk, you can't clean your walls without the paint coming completely off. Don't let the "modern" appearance fool you, these are the absolute worst apartments I have ever lived in. They are not worth the price at all. Read More
