Are you looking for a place with hidden fees? Do you enjoy amenities in poor condition? Are you ready to absolutely flush your security deposit down the drain? This is the place for you! Where to start? How about with the fact that there is very minimal parking unless you're willing to buy a reserved spot. Oh, but you have to pay a fee monthly for parking there whether you get a reserved spot or not. Now let's move to the amenities. The pool is actually pretty nice and decently maintained.… That's the end of the positives. The "sand" volleyball court is more dirt than sand. The racquetball court floors are badly maintained and the AC breaks frequently and takes easily a month or more to fix. The gym is average. Decent enough equipment mostly but the TV has been stuck on the History Channel for 2 years. Who doesn't enjoy watching Pawn Stars reruns? The car wash never worked for even a single day during my 2.5 years there. We paid a professional company to come clean our apartment before moving out. We were still charged over $400 for the carpet. Oh and during the pandemic they definitely helped struggling residents out by allowing them to pay 2 weeks late. That's it. Management has been in place for awhile and very reliable. Maintenance is superior always. I can depend on them totally.

El Lago apartments is a beautiful place. Dont let that full you like it did us. They took advantage of my wife and I. We even feel a little harrassed by them. We never missed rent. So, they gave us $800 in charges with no proof or explenation of anything. We contact them to talk and they hang up. We call account specialist. No response. Now we need to follow legal action because they wont comply. Do not move here.

I lived here for two years and it continued to decline. Staff changes frequently and does not care about the people living there. When I had no AC in the summer I had to call over and over for three days in a row to finally have someone fix it. Mckinney police are called there almost every night. I was so happy to move out, as a single female, i did not feel safe there at dark. Of course when I moved out they charged me hundreds for 'damages' that they found a week after i moved out.
