Emotional & Stressful Experience
I moved into Nevarez Apartments in November. The application process started off great, but after moving in, I’ve had ongoing issues with maintenance and communication. It has been difficult getting service requests handled, especially with only one maintenance person for both properties.
Before applying, I specifically asked if emotional support dogs were allowed. I was told yes and provided all required documents for myself, my son, and my dog back in October before receiving my keys in... November. Six months later, Rosa from the front office told me she needed the same paperwork again and claimed I had never turned it in, which was very upsetting.
My son has ADHD, and our emotional support dog provides him comfort, stability, and emotional support. This situation has been very stressful for our family.
I recently received a letter saying the documents provided were not enough, but when I respectfully asked Rosa what additional information was needed, she said she was “not a legal advisor” and could not explain what was missing.
I just wish these concerns had been addressed before I moved in instead of six months later. I hope communication and organization improve for future residents.
