Multitude of issues

Sloppily and cheaply built units, roaches, poor insulation and AC system year-round, unhelpful management, and it took over a year after moving out to receive my security deposit refund. They try to appear like luxury housing with their brand image and "amenities", but even the most basic things are in disrepair.

You don’t control your own heat or ac

When it was in the 30s the property manager refused to turn the heat on for these apartments causing people to start buying little electric heaters. On the hottest side days they turned on the AC but turned it off. Then back on once people started complaining. If you value your own air and heat, go elsewhere.

Dont live here

Never been more displeased with an apartment complex. Started having issues day 1. My apartment kept having large puddles of standing water every time I would come home. I kept putting in maintenance tickets and it would never get fixed. I'm not the only tenant with this same problem. Even tenants from other complexes owned by Stephenville Apartments experience the same issue. Some of them worse off than mine. Aside from all the puddles that kept forming in my complex I incurred a late fee for... not paying rent when I clearly had an email that my rent was paid for the month and called up there every day asking about it "it should" "itll be fine" was all I would hear. Next thing I know I have a paper stuck to my door of a late fee. Call the office and flat out told me there was nothing they could do. It was either pay the extra $75 late fee $15 processing fee or get evicted. Stephenville apartments does not care. They just want money. AVOID STEPHENVILLE APARTMENTS AT ALL COST (Parkview, Lillian II, Oak Tree, College View, The Columns, and Auburn Place or you will experience the same as the rest of us. They're owned by Stephenville Apartments). Even contractors around Stephenville talk about how terrible Stephenville Apartments are. If that doesnt tell you how bad it is....I dont know what will.

Good Experience

I have enjoyed living at Parkview apartments. The maintenance people are very helpful and respond to your needs quickly. The complex is always clean and quiet. Parking is also good. The only thing that I don't like is the way they run their ac/heat. In October they shut the ac off to where you can only turn on the heater. This would be okay if Texas weather wasn't constantly changing. I'm hoping they turn the ac back on in March.
