The Green at Waco

I have an ongoing mold issue in my apartment that has still not been resolved in over two months. An inspection was done, but no remediation has occurred, no written plan has been provided, and no alternatives, such as moving units, have ever been offered.

What’s most frustrating is the lack of communication. Not once has management or corporate contacted me with an update. Every update I’ve received has only happened because I went to the office and asked to speak with management. Calls and... emails go unanswered.

Mold is a serious health concern, and the lack of urgency and accountability here is unacceptable. I would not recommend living here. Read More

this place is TERRIBLE. when we first moved in, my roommate noticed that there was mold on the ceiling of her bathroom. when we moved out, there was STILL mold on her ceiling, despite us trying to have the green get rid of it ALL YEAR. we sent in probably 15+ requests about the situation, called, emailed, visited the office, etc. they would send someone in to “fix it” but the guy who came in would never fix it, obviously, because it needed a whole new ceiling, not a maintenance man. EVERYTHING... in this apartment breaks. i wish we had kept a list of everything that broke, but from what i remember: shower, dishwasher, washing machine, toilet, battery-operated door locks, AC, and more i’ve forgotten. its near IMPOSSIBLE to get them to respond to a maintenance request, especially if it’s something difficult to fix. there was also a hornets nest that we kept asking to get removed that caused SEVERAL people to get stung. they never removed that freakin thing. it was still there when we moved out.

on top of all of this, these people are THIEVES. we lived there for the 2023-24 school year, and when our lease was up, we noticed we never got our deposit back. i called probably 15 times, and every time they told me they’d work on it. when i got back to school in the fall (living in a different place thank GOD!), i would visit their office EVERY DAY and they always just said they were “working on it”. they didn’t get my deposit back to me until my dad got super involved. my roommates never pressed the green about their deposits, so they never got them back.

they will also try to press charges for ANYTHING. we filled out a paper at the beginning of the year, listing everything that was broken upon our move-in. when we moved out, they tried to charge us for those things that we had notified them of at the beginning of the year. they said that because of the switch in management, they had lost all of the papers we filled out at the beginning of the year, and that they wouldn’t remove the charges unless we had “proof” that those things were broken before we got there. thank GOODNESS that one of my roommates had taken pics of everything that was messed up when we moved in. im so glad we got those charges taken off, but it’s ridiculous that it was OUR responsibility to prove that those things were broken before move-in, when it was fully the complex’s fault for losing our documents. It took 3 months for them too “fix” my bathroom. Still waiting on hearing back for compensation

I recently accepted a new job that required me to move a couple hours away. I gave notice about this new relocation in April of 2024 and was told they didn’t have a waitlist but then told me they did two months later making it harder to get out of my lease. Also to be released from your lease you have to pay an extremely high fee (85% of rent) and YOU have to find someone to take over your lease and if you don’t you have to pay the fee and keep paying your rent. From move in to move out, this has been a horrible experience.
Move in Condition of the apartment was unacceptable, Floors filty, couch torn, furnace filter dirty and full of dander, Dryer not working, balcony guard rail not loose.
They give you a paper sticker for parking to affix to the outside of your vehicle and when that sticker washes away, they have a towing agreement with Rapid Towing to tow your vehicle out of your paid for parking spot with no prior warning. However when someone is... parked in your spot all night long, they offer no assistance in getting the vehicle out of your paid for spot.
