Great Apartment with Million Dollar Views
I'm an owner of a unit on the 15th floor of Hunting Creek Club Condominiums since 2014.
This was the 2nd place I've toured, and I decided to purchase it right away because of the million dollar riverview. I've also lived on the property until 2016, and loved it! There's always plenty of parking spaces, the place is in walking distance to the metro stop, and overall the area just has so much to offer! I had to move to a different state in 2016, but has been renting my unit out since then, and... never had any problem finding tenants.
I do agree with some of the other owners who left comments here that the previous property management company was awful. However, the new management company seems to be very responsive, even though the condo fees did get higher!
As for renters, I think you will get a much better deal here than any other corporate-managed apartment buildings, and I'm speaking the range of $100-$300 less than average, and everything is negotiable because it's managed by individual owners.
Yes, there's less amenities compared to other apartment buildings nearby such as a lack of a gym, but there's a planet fitness next door that offers $10 monthly memberships in January!
Overall, Hunting Creek Club was and still is a dream home for me, and I hope that the other owners help mak the condominiums a even better place in the future!

Heavy Marijuana usage
During the pandemic, the marijuana usage has soared - starting as early as 9 am throughout the day and seven days a week, make the smell unbearable. The poor vent system does nothing to remove the smoke and sealing the vents only forces congestion within the unit. Opening windows brings in the smell from the ambient area surrounding the building. So bad had to move for lungs sake.

A lot of bang for your buck
This place is older but that’s the reason this place is spacious. 850sq for a 1 bed one bath! That’s the size of a modern 2bd 1bath.
Ample and free parking (surface)
Decent pool
New tennis court
24-7 concierge (secure package delivery and pick up)
Pet friendly.
Great views and large balconies.

Bed Bugs and Poor Management
I found bed bugs in my unit on the third floor and the association's response was to say they would not be getting involved. This means no matter how much money I spend to get rid of them, they will come back again and again because the association will not address the issue.
Aside from their inaction on bed bugs, the community is very anti-dog, communication between management and residents in non-existent, and the Board doesn't even publicly post agenda items, so you have no clue what inane... decision they are about to make.
Building water shut off? They won't email you. You'll have no idea. Association is stuck in 1995 business practices. I emailed management about safety issues and didn't receive a response for a month, and that was only because I hurt myself walking my dog.
Long story short. This place is poorly managed, not 21st century friendly, and they do nothing to prevent or stop the spread of bed bug infestations.
I've lived here 8 years, and just can't take how poorly run it is anymore. I am moving out at the end of February. Whoever moves into my unit, I hope you like poor customer service and bed bugs!
