Monticello at Southern Towers

I have lived at this property for over a year and have always paid my rent on time. My concern is not only the recurring A/C issues, but also the way I was treated by the Property Manager, Saba.

When I requested an update regarding a long-standing A/C problem, she repeatedly raised her voice, told me that if I was unhappy I could find somewhere else to live, and then instructed me to leave the leasing office.

After I left the office, she followed me outside, falsely claimed that I was... threatening her, and began recording me with her phone. Throughout the entire interaction, I remained calm and did not engage in any argument. I was simply trying to obtain information regarding a maintenance issue affecting my apartment.

What is most disappointing is that I filed a formal complaint with Corporate regarding this incident, and as of the date of this review, I have not received any response, follow-up, or communication regarding my complaint.

If this is how a resident is treated for trying to follow up on a legitimate maintenance concern, I believe anyone considering living here should carefully consider the quality of management and the way resident concerns are handled before making a decision. Read More

Avoid if you don’t smoke or would rather avoid the smell. The Monticello hallways and elevators reeks of marijuana. The smell comes through the air vent into my apartment. I have health issues my complaints to the manager has gone unheeded. She is unprofessional and unsympathetic. The customer service experience definitely needs to improve if they want to retain tenants long term

The air conditioning unit in my apartment was apparently leaking into the apartment underneath me so they came to check it out. I noticed my bin had mold in it and that the floor had mold on it. My walls began to dissolve and now a month later the issue has not been resolved. Management does not care about their tenants and will do everything but actually fix the issue.

Lots of roaches, mice, rats, etc. I can say all pests live here. Parking after 10pm is a big problem. The manager of monticello is very immature and has no experience at all how to deal with the residents, poor customer service. If you have guests, you pay upto $48 per day/night. Horrible apartment! Whole way smells food. They give you $50 credit if you're willing to put good review and 5 star since they know that people are moving out because of all these problems I mentioned above.
