Paying rent is a hazard here. You can pay rent and utilities through two different companies, but only one is the right one. Office staff will tell you which one but then later you will get “payment due” emails from the second company and accidentally pay your bills there. You’re lucky if the staff is nice to you about a confusion like this. As others have said, office staff can be rude since they answer questions or concerns in an angry “it’s your fault” tone, and then they finally help after… they’re done ranting about how you were wrong. Half of maintenance are nice, the other half are definitely your spy guys. They’ll report who is in your apartment and what. If they think you’re breaking the rules, you will get a warning from the office saying they were “informed” of such activities. Talk about privacy. There are laundry machines for each building. The ones in my building don’t work well even after putting in work orders. So I wash my clothes in the laundromat next door but they have mold in their machines which causes me to use extra soap. The area is safe in my opinion as long as you’re not walking around at night. Neighbors can be friendly, or polite. This place is a good place for the money. Park, bus, shopping, and restaurants nearby. Dogs are welcome and there are many owners and a lot of area to walk them. Maintance is always helpful. One bedrooms are quite large and parking close. Cool off by the swimming pool in the Summer. The balconies are a nice touch also.

Fort Belvoir is only two miles and walkable for exercise. Post Office and bingo across the street nice touch also.

Living in Washington Square Apts is the place to be. Clean buildings and manicured lawns. Friendly neighbors and office staff. Plenty of parking and zero tolorence for loitering and sitting on steps. Maintenance staff for repairs are always same day. I love living here.

Place is landscaped well and is kept clean inside. Quiet at night and has a pool with lifeguard. Parks, bus, and stores nearby. Allows dogs for a reasonable fee. Balcony is relaxing also. Roomy living room/dining room.
