I would not recommend living here. This has been one of the most frustrating rental experiences I've ever had.

We've been in this apartment since 2010, and despite multiple requests, management has refused to refurbish the unit. The carpet is extremely worn, and the walls are visibly damaged and outdated. There has been no effort to maintain or update the apartment over the years.
On top of that, we had mold on the air vents, which is a serious health concern. It took TWO MONTHS for them to... finally come clean it— and that only happened after we mentioned reporting the complex. Before that, our requests were ignored and even denied.
Communication is also terrible. The office phone number listed is out of service, making it nearly impossible to reach anyone. When you go in person, concerns are not taken seriously. One staff member at the front desk treats everything like a joke, while another simply tells us to "be patient." We have been patient-for FOUR MONTHS—with no real resolution. There are also roaches coming through the air vents, which management has refused to properly address.
Overall, this place lacks basic maintenance, professionalism, and respect for tenants. Save yourself the stress and look elsewhere. Read More

the apartments are nice but the problem is that there are many cockroaches and the maintenance is bad and they always send me paper that will kill or throw poison but you see nobody comes

The Gates of Ballston is a complex of several long 2 story buildings with 3-4 entrance . The addresse is shown at each entrance of the 4 units/ apartments.My is a cheerfully sunny 600 sq. ft corner unit on the 2nd floor ;1 bedroom with closet, dining / living room combo with a front large window that makes dining feel like an indoor /outdoor cafe experience.The kitchen has plenty of cabinet space , a dishwasher,and a microwave along with your basic kitchen appliances.The bathroom is very... inviting white paint and backsplash of white tile with sporadic intervals of gray tile ; and tile the same as wall- beautiful.There is a walk in closet and the convience of a washer and dryer.

This area is the heart of Arlington, Virginia ; there the Ballston Mall with movie theater Harries Teeter supermarket,CVS, lots of restaurants - all in walking distance.The metro is 10-15 minutes walking distance and their buses no more than a block away. By car you are minutes away from mayor highways ( 395, 66 495) and the dc and maryland area. Who can ask for anything more.For all this you pay monthly rent and electricity..LOVING IT. Read More

I will first start by saying , I am grateful for having a decent place to live , good neighbors , the apartment complex is relatively safe , they are decent at fixing things that need repaired , the maintenance of the apartment complex is decent , the area is convenient , to my needs , but all that being said , my serious issue is with the amount of money I pay for rent, for a small studio apartment , that the walls is so thin , I can hear my neighbor , when urinate , I can hear there... conversations as though we are in the same room , every kind of noise imaginable you can it is there for your ears . with the last said statement I rate it 2 stars .
