This building is really old, and only the upper levels are renovated.

The walls between apartments are alright, so you generally don't get bothered by your next-door neighbor's activities. However, the insulation between floors are bad, so you can hear your upstairs neighbor's every movement, and more than often, his music comes though the ceiling as well.

The doors are also old and thin and they don't fit in the frame. When people let the door slam on their way out, it shakes your door and... sometimes the whole apartment.

The walls facing outside are thin without insulation, so when the temperature drops during winter, frost will form on the INSIDE of the wall regardless of how strong the heaters are on. The A/C and heater unit is on electricity. It is pretty efficient during summer, but can raise your bills to three digits over winter.

All problems are simply a result of the house's age and lack of renovation.

All above said, the price for this apartment is considered unbeatable in the area, and the walk to public transportation and groceries are no more than 10 minutes. Considering these, it still deserves at least 3 stars. Read More
