I would find somewhere else to live

I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Walls are paper thin. I can hear when neighbors are playing a movie on higher volume or when they are having a conversation in different rooms. Management is not helpful and will go out of their way not to help their tenants. Mold is a problem here and have started to see it come out of my air ducts in my living room. Thomas Court looks great on the surface, but underneath is an overpriced apartment building with landlords who don't return calls and are… never in their office.

Great apartment at a fair price

I lived here for three years. The property manager, Sara, is great and extremely helpful.

The building is located in a quiet neighborhood but within close walking proximity to the Ballston metro and Ballston mall. I don't have a car and I'm able to walk everywhere.

I lived on the top (fourth) floor and had no issues with sound from other apartments, but lower floors may or may not hear sound from their upstairs neighbors?

Best floorplans in Ballston!

Moved in to Thomas Ct in Sep 2014 from an Avalon building close by. Best move I could have made!

Location is great. Thomas Ct (a Dittmar building) was only .5 mile away and we were still in the same neighborhood. 5 min walk to Ballston Mall, 12 min walk to Ballston Metro, plenty of bus stops nearby for the ART and Metro buses. 15 min drive into DC on a weekend.

Units are very very nice. Thomas Ct opened in 2012 I believe so our unit only had 1 previous renter. We have a 2 bed 2 bath at… 1063 sq ft. The bedrooms are a good size, I have room for a dresser, Q bed, 2 nightstands, and a desk. Walk in closet is big with plenty of room and built in shelves. My bathroom is huge with lots of linen shelves and tub. The two bedroom/closet/baths are identical on opposite sides of the apt but she has a shower instead of a tub. So much counter space in the kitchen! W/D in the kitchen.

Parking is super reasonable at $50 for first car and $100 for second (compared to the $220 we were paying for parking at Avalon). The garage is 2 level under the building and very well lit. Key fob entry into the garage and all doors on building.

Amenities include gym in the building (treadmills and elipticals have personal tv on them), business center with 3 Mac computers and printer, and an entertainment center with a pool table, big tv, couches, and kitchen. I've used the gym and business center and have been pleased.

Overall, this is a great place to live, convenient, affordable, and nicely maintained. I feel very safe living here and am pleased with my apartment.
