Incredible View

Want an incredible vista of the mountains around Blacksburg? As the hero George remarks in A Room with a View, "We have a view!" Our balcony overlooks the mountain range surrounding our area. In the fall, the trees on the mountains burst into a symphony of color. We often eat dinner on our balcony, just to watch the sunset. And after all, what other reason to move to southwest Virginia than to experience the beauty of nature? We also have a 24-hour gym, gorgeously landscaped pool, and… ample parking in our complex. Management was very responsive to our requests for apartment upgrades when we moved in, and we're thrilled with the state of our place! Windsor Hills is close enough to downtown to allow easy access to restaurants and shopping and far enough away from the hubbub to be peaceful and quiet on weekends (the complex is located in a residential area just at the edge of a rural stretch of land). The best part is that there is a "time check" bus station steps from our door that goes directly to Virginia Tech campus for a no-hassle workday.

Windsor Hills

Nice fairly large apartments for a good price. It can sometimes be hard to find a 2 person apartment for the same price per person as a 4 person but Windsor Hills does a good job, I pay just over $400 a month. Also Windsor Hills is very dog friendly with a dog park and location wise it is one of the best in terms of only having to take one bus that goes directly through downtown and to campus. Can't argue that places like the Edge or downtown apartments are significantly more higher end but the… prices are a completely different class and honestly a working college student just can't afford it without significant contributions from a parent.

For Pet Lovers

If you have pets, this is the place for you. Pet friendly, with a dog park within walking distance. Lounge by the pool or work out at the gym. Within walking distance of downtown, you can enjoy hanging out with your friends at the local bars and restaurants. Conveniently located on the bus line, which will take you any and everywhere you need to go!
