It’s home before you walk in
I moved to Charlottesville from Dallas, Texas, because I’m a nurse, and this is my first apartment. I can’t believe how easy the Rio Point team—and Casey in particular—made my move feel.
In addition, if you don’t enjoy long drives, this will be a complete change of pace. Living in Texas my entire life, driving always felt like a fun chore—enjoyable, but still a chore. Here, I’m literally only 5–8 minutes away from most of my necessities.
The staff are very welcoming, kind, and supportive. I’m... thankful that my experience here has been so pleasant, and I honestly look forward to renewing my lease—even though it hasn’t even been a year yet.

The property is nice because it is new, but it is chaotic and was not ready to fully launch. The management has been nice, but they are not really fully capable of managing the complexities of the property. I would strongly not recommend people staying here until the property is more completed. There are way too many issues and not enough recognizing the issues to do something nice for the people that are staying here and receiving poor quality because the property is not ready.
