Ellipse at Fairfax Corner

We are living here for last three years.
The current maintenance team is horrible. The are dishonest, not expert in what they are doing, have a escapist mentality to avoid problematic work.
Case 1 : our dishwasher broke down. they changed the dishwasher but the installation is problematic. The door does not shut properly.
Case 2 : The window does in the living room does not open or close properly. It was broken before we moved in. After multiple complaints they just try to patch the problem... not fixing it. I gave up.
Case 3 : THE BIGGEST PROBLEM. My heater does not stop in the winter. It goes past the set temperature and keeps increasing. The problem is intermittent. We recorded video to show. They wont accept it. We called emergency when it is happening but they wont come quickly. I went to the office noted the problem. the front desk manager said he will come and see the issue and notify the maintaince team. Nothing ever happened. I gave up.
when raising the issue the maintenance guy was provocative to start a fight.
Case 4 : Addendum issue. We had valet trash service and used to pay 35 dollar a month. From last august they added more 20 dollars for trash service from the dumpstars. They did not notify us. Now we are paying 50 dollar per month for trash. lol
case 5 : This year snow service was a disaster.

While the Ellipse At Fairfax Corner bills itself as luxury apartments, that they certainly are not. They are a good quality average complex. Too many of the apartments have not been renovated. Efforts have been made in the past couple of years, like painting the outside of the complex and resurfacing the swimming pool and updating the exercise room, but inside the apartments continue to look old and dingy. My cabinets are wood with vinyl glued to them, which is peeling off, for example. ... Maintenance is quick to respond, but the fixes that I am familiar with have been Band-Aid fixes. The grounds used to be kept in good shape, but in the last year, they’ve been neglected.
I could recommend the Ellipse to someone who needs a short term stay… A year or two, but if you’re looking for a long time home, you can do better. Read More

The maintenance supervisor gave me a quick tour of the gym while I was waiting for my appointment, which was really nice of him. Everything was straightforward, and I think it’s easier to apply online. I made the appointment online and honestly didn’t think it was real, but after the first tour, don't know by luck I was like, “Take my check!”

I been here for almost two months and I love my apartment and the area!
