Worse place to live
I would absolutely not recommend Discovery Square to anyone, especially families with small children or babies.
Where do I even start? There fire alarms at least once a month, and the noise is deafening, you must go outside in the cold, snow or rain. There was a fire alarm going off at 3 AM, completely disrupting everyone’s sleep, my kids were scared and couldn’t sleep for couple weeks. No proper follow-up, no real communication — just chaos in the middle of the night.
The parking garage is a... nightmare. It’s extremely narrow and small, and there have been multiple accidents because there’s barely enough space to maneuver. It feels unsafe and poorly designed.
Maintenance is another major issue. The maintenance guy has come into the apartment without proper permission, which is completely unacceptable and a serious privacy concern.
If you have young kids, be prepared for constant noise. The main level feels like a playground. Kids are running around the hallways, riding bikes, knocking loudly on doors and running away. There is zero enforcement of rules. If you have a baby or small children who need quiet, this is not the place for you.
In just one year of living here, the water heater broke, the dishwasher broke (and leaked causing water damage), and the fridge broke. Constant appliance issues and inconvenience.
The trash situation is disgusting. Trash cans are left out, not put away properly, and the smell is terrible. It’s an eyesore and completely unhygienic.
Management is the most disappointing part. You can reach out to the office or even the home office and you’ll get nothing. No solutions, no accountability. They seem more focused on collecting rent than actually caring about residents’ concerns.
Overall, this place has been stressful, noisy, poorly managed, and not worth the money. I regret choosing Discovery Square.
