The AC and heat have not worked properly for almost 2 years, and anytime maintenance has come out to 'fix' it all they do is shoot freon into the system. This isn't sustainable it works well for about a week and then the system fails again. The water pressure is also terrible and the hot water lasts for about 3 minutes before it becomes ice cold. Also, they came to do work on the fire alarm and sprinkler system roughly 5 months ago and have yet to return to repair the 5inx3in holes left in the... ceiling. At this point, whenever someone in the apartment calls maintenance they hang-up after hearing who is calling. Redmill Landing employs a very friendly and competent manager and staff. They quickly troubleshoot any problems we have had, which have been few and minor. The apartment is spacious and clean. The environment is peaceful, well-kept and nicely landscaped. Redmill Landing is conveniently located near great doctor's offices, restaurants and shopping. Redmill Landing has the BEST staff they are so helpful and AMAZING. Everything I need is less then 5 minutes and within walking and biking distance. There are so many great restaurants, shops, and sites to see right at home. These apartments have all the amenities to suites anyones needs, and the grounds are very well kept. The living space is perfect size and the closets and bathrooms are huge. I love that everyone is so friendly and welcoming. This is definitely a place to call home!!!!!

My family really likes living here. We have been here since February of 2014 The location is great and very convenient to everything. The office and maintenance personnel are very friendly and are always seem eager to help. There is a fun atmosphere for residents as the community is not that large. Having grown up in Virginia Beach until the age of 10 ( 1982 ) , and then moving to Maryland with my family.......I always dreamed of "coming back home" . So after my Marine Corps career was finished and I was now married with a beautiful daughter and had a career , the urge to find a way home was present daily. Well , in July 2015 I noticed the corporate entity I worked for in Maryland had just acquired a location in Portsmouth. "it's now or never" , I told myself. After consulting my wife and... daughter , we agreed that I would apply for a relocation. I had an interview in Portsmouth in mid July. Came down to Virginia Beach , had my interview that Friday and was offered the job with an August 17th start date. We did not have very much time. We visited several communities. Then we found Red Mill Landing and Pam , the property manager. The moment we met Pam , she was very kind and understanding of the stresses we were under as our life was about to dramatically change. She took us on a tour of the property and the landscaping was one of the first things we recognized. It is absolutely beautiful. There are multiple fountains in small lakes / ponds that immediately provided a sense of much needed calm to my wife and I. After our tour , we were accepted minutes later and now the clock was ticking.......tick , tock , tick , tock .
So here we are , October 1st. We have officially lived here for a month and a half. As a dad , husband and former Marine , the welfare , safety and quality of life for my family is a top priority, Red Mil Landing has given that to me / us. The property is beautiful. It has a 24 hour fitness center and business center. It has a veranda with two gas grills and tables for cooking out so even though we live in an apartment , we can still enjoy the luxury of cooking on a grill . It has a beautiful pool with a waterfall and plenty of lounge chairs. It is very quiet and such a peaceful place to come home to after a long day at work . Our apartment overlooks the pool area which has a lake and water fountain next to it. We love sitting on our deck , reading our favorite book and listening to the fountains in the background. Did I mention how calming that was ? lol. It is even better on cool nights when you can open your windows and listen to them as you fall asleep. Worth every penny ! Our apartment is modern and clean.
