Eagles Landing Apartments

I've lived here for three years now, and it's nice for the area.

I only gave it four stars because the neighborhood is a bit rough. You hear sirens many times during the day and the neighborhood is well-known for being less than safe. I wouldn't recommend going for a stroll at night. Drugs and petty crimes (graffiti, car window smashing*) are common.

HOWEVER, these apartments are an oasis of sorts.
In regards to the window smashing mentioned above, I've only seen it happen to the cars parked… along the street, never the cars parked IN the Eagle's Landing parking lot. That's because there is a police officer who patrols the lot every single night.

The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the maintenance guys are awesome. Super friendly and prompt.

No noise complaints. You'll hear general apartment comings and goings, but nothing abnormally frustrating. I live on the top floor though, so I can't speak for the other two levels.

An added bonus is that packages go directly to the main office for safekeeping. No stolen packages (especially good for this area). The downside is you can't get packages delivered if the office is closed, but I'd rather have them safely delivered than left in the open.
Each building is locked, so you get a key for the building and also a key for your place. Something to consider if you order food delivery often.
I don't so it's not an issue.

911 arrives in less than 10 minutes, and they have access to the building so you don't have to worry about letting them in during a crisis. ;)

Before moving here, I definitely had misgivings because of the neighborhood. And honestly, I don't take my kids for a walk outside the apartment complex.
BUT, if you don't mind overlooking the seedy area, I recommend these apartments!

First off, as I am sitting in 90 degree weather mid July roasting and the pool is not open. I mention this first as it an amenity they happily boasted about when I was looking at this place. Apparently they don't open it until August! So if your looking for a pool, this is not the place. If you have asthma or other respiratory issues, stay away. They use air fresheners in the hall that are so strong you smell it in your apartment. Since moving in here I have had to reach for my rescue enhailer… daily vs my old couple times a mouth. Most of the staff is great but not all and I find it quite hard to contact them when needed. Though when I have needed maintenance he is always on time, professional and friendly. Their pet area is a hazard. They keep the grass so long that by time you can see trash or something hazardous to your dog, they have already got it in there mouth. And because they removed a ton of trees at some point there are a lot of hidden holes in the tall grass. I've been here just one year and adore my apartment. It's extremely clean and peaceful. My own little sanctuary. The office women are wonderful, they are very kind and helpful. I feel safe and secure which is very important to me as I am living on my own for the first time in many years. Highly recommended. Joni

Coming from another state the staff made me feel welcomed and comfortable. After 2 1/2 Yrs I feel like they made the decision to let me in to take advantage of all the amenities they have to offer and it was the right one. I must compliment the maintenance staff for prompt actions on weekdays and weekends.To staff and all others keep up the wonderful work.
