The property itself is surprisingly spacious for a good price for the area. On the downside, the new management seems to be nickel and diming residents, including making people pay $30 a year to log the information of each pet in the apartment on top of the $45 pet rent per month. Washer and dryer prices have increased twice since I moved in, and is now 2.25 per wash or dry ($4.50 total for 1 wash cycle followed by 1 dry cycle). Well-maintained, spacious apartments with great views & large balconies. What really makes this place stand out to me is the office team at Overlook. They always have a positive attitude and are eager to help. The maintenance team is also very responsive. Great option if you are looking to live in Magnolia.

We've lived at Overlook for two years now. Our son was born shortly after and he's very much enjoying everything it has to offer. First and foremost, the staff is made up of a tight knit group who are responsive to resident needs. The neighborhood is quiet and the perfect place to call home in a very unique Seattle area. In addition, as a resident you have ease of access to several beaches and parks.

Depending on how you look at it, the location of Overlook can be a bit challenging. While it’s... near to many places, the apartments sit atop a massive hill (your legs will acclimate) and Magnolia is secluded from the rest of Seattle. If there’s one thing we could change it would be the age of the complex. It’s a little outdated in some spots, but fortunately the competitive price makes a huge difference.

Very reasonably priced compared to stuff we were looking at in Queen Anne / Frelard area. It's a little less walkable but it's so much quieter than our last place. The unit is outdated but bright and spacious - no weird smells or mold. Very happy with the living space. We're on top floor with skylights and a fire place, so obviously your mileage may vary if you're considering one of the lower floors. Great views on a clear day! Extremely dog-friendly!

The real highlight of this place is the... office and maintenance staff. A for customer service. Any problems are handled very quickly. The complex is huge and they know everyone's name and their dog on sight. No idea how they pull it off but I've never lived in a place where I felt like management cared about me quite like I do here. Read More
