The Park At Northgate

There are homeless people that wander around the parking lot. It’s gotten so bad that they had to send an email to call a specific number if you see them. Have been living here for almost two years and it has consistently been getting worse. Will not resign next year.

Searching for a place to live site unseen is very daunting. The staff at Park at Northgate has made the process so pleasant, even though I am on the other side of the country! Tashana has been a great help with providing me pictures and videos of the apartment. She is very knowledgeable, patient and so kind!! You'll be in great hands if you work with her!

I have lives here for a few years, this place has been nothing but joy. Very close knit community

- spacious and pretty apartments
- newer appliances
- big patios/balconies
- very close to many handy places (bus stops, QFC, Walgreens, Target, Total Wine)

CONS
- no easy-access ramps
- no elevators
- no call boxes
- buildings are a little old
- no perimeter fencing

I've really loved my time at the Park at Northgate. Pre-COVID I used the little gym here frequently, and it was hugely handy to be right by... the route 67 stop, which went right to the University hub and thus to everywhere, and having groceries be a 3 minute walk (and Total Wine a 5 minute one) was incredibly convenient. When the shutdowns hit, the Park's management company (Thrive) was quick to inform residents about any changes to policies and shutting down of amenities (gym, pool), and were very easy to contact and quick to respond. In my time here, I've never had a maintenance request take more than three days to get addressed - and that one only being of low priority - with most of them being tackled either the same day I report it or the following one.

The downsides of this place are pretty much entirely due to the older buildings. Though well maintained, they lack any call boxes (so any visitors or delivery people have to call you to come to the front door and get things yourself), and the lack of ramps and elevators make getting around a little difficult (if I broke a leg here I don't know how I'd get my mail, for example). There is no perimeter fence for the property, so anyone can come in and stroll around (there are security patrols so it isn't dangerous so much as it is inconvenient). And the occasional creaky ceiling can be a thing, but more if you have stompy upstairs neighbors than anything else!

Overall I really loved living here, and it's a great place with a good price and size (all the places are 1000 sqft 2 bed 1 bath) and the management company obviously cares about their residents. Recommended. Read More
