I reported a leaking sink faucet. Management marked it as “being worked on” and did absolutely nothing. No inspection. No maintenance visit. No repair. Just excuses about scheduling a plumber in a couple weeks and ordering a part.
Ten days later the connection burst overnight.
Water flooded our bathroom, leaked through the floor, ran down the walls, soaked our rugs, and saturated our couch the floor below. We called immediately. Their response is to schedule a plumber for tomorrow. Maintenance... still hasn’t even showed up to look at things or help clean up all the water. If I didn’t turn the water off myself it would still be pouring out.
I had to take the day off work to clean up a completely preventable disaster while water continued dripping through the flooring and through the walls.
The irony is that management had no problem sending me a photographed violation notice over a pet leash and pet waste bin left on my porch, demanding it be removed within 48 hours. A leash gets immediate attention. A water leak causing property damage gets ignored.
