First time renting - in 40 years yo
Move-in day was a great experience! We were welcomed by Gina, who had everything ready—documents, keys, and all the important information we needed. She walked us through details about the complex and explained how to use the laundry app (“Loft”), which made the process smooth and easy.
I’ll admit, I was a little hesitant since I haven’t lived in an apartment in over 40 years. But as soon as we walked in, I was pleasantly surprised by how clean the unit was. We’re in a 2-bedroom, 2-bath with a... garage, and the garage is incredibly spacious—plenty of room for our bikes, and even enough space to add a fridge if needed.
The carpet is clean and feels durable. The linoleum flooring could use an update, but it’s perfectly functional. One of my favorite features is a large closet near the dining area—it’s a hidden gem! It works great as extra storage, a pantry, or even a multipurpose space. Since the kitchen cabinets are a bit on the smaller side, I’d definitely recommend using that closet if you have larger appliances like crock pots, Instant Pots, or pizza makers.
One thing to note: there are no overhead lights in the bedrooms or living room, so plan to bring or buy lamps.
We haven’t met the neighbors yet, but we’ve definitely enjoyed the delicious smells coming from their kitchens! in day was wonderful!
