Upstairs is caving in
I lived in an upstairs unit. The floor was caving in. My bathroom tub was sloping at an angle from floor caving in. There was a three inch gap between my hallway front door and the sinking/collapsing floor. I stuffed the gaping crack with an old blanket. I don’t deem the building as safe until the floor is repaired. A housing inspection needs to be performed so that this is repaired before a major collapse and severe injury. The laundry is in the basement and costed $2.50 for the washer and $2… .50 for the dryer. Excessive. No ability to pay rent online. You have to mail your rent to Brookfield every month. I didn’t care for the on-site building manager. She did nothing and was very unfriendly. She was just there as a prop living rent free. I moved away from Milwaukee because of the excessive rent for nasty, dumpy housing that is pervasive there. Milwaukee really needs to do a complete overhaul on its housing situation. The city is nice. The housing is horrific.
