Thompson Meadows is not just another run of the mill apartment complex for seniors age fifty-five and up, more-so it seems to be a destination for people in their later lifetime that desire peace and tranquility. I have been renting now since 2016 when I sold my house, and I cannot express how happy I am to have finally discovered Thompson Meadows. Not only is the property complex itself an awesome place to live, but the property manager herself, “Valarie”,… is everything you could possibly wish for. She does not just manage the property itself, but also looks out for and cares about the tenants in the complex itself. I could make out a list of the positive experiences I have had since I moved in, but she never stops trying to make this a better place for all that reside here. She is sincerely interested in the welfare of the entire population in this residence.

To start with, the complex is located near the intersection of Kinnickinnic and Howard avenues in the City of Saint Francis, but not visible from those streets because it is surrounded by a dense forest like area, which includes wild turkeys and even deer at times, and song birds in abundance. And, if you go three blocks to the South of the apartments, you’ll discover Greene Park, a very large, very heavily forested area, also filled with abundant wildlife, A tennis Court, a softball field, and playgrounds. To the East, about a half a mile away is Lake Michigan, with walking paths alongside the lake itself. Directly across the street is the Lake Presbyterian Cemetery, a historic icon dating back to burials from around 1848, and a quiet place to sit and enjoy the quiet. This cemetery was founded from a land donation from Jared Thompson, after which this apartment complex was named after.

Then you have the Saint Francis Civic Center nearby, within walking distance. This complex houses the Police and Fire Departments, along with the mayor’s office and all of the Saint Francis City offices. The Saint Francis library is also nearby, and also within walking distance. Read More
