The apartments are large enough to have sufficient room as a young professional. Easy access to Valley of The Moon Park and the Chester Creek bike trails, you can bicycle across all of Anchorage from here! Bears Tooth is just across the street and the 24 hr Alaska Club is within walking distance, alongside REI, Title Wave and several cafes. I never got bored living here and I was able to quickly head in any direction in Anchorage and not be stuck in traffic by judicious selection of route. There is off street parking for your vehicles, and I rode my motorcycle all summer long and parked it in my spot with no problems. First off, I want to say that the building manager at my location is amazing. By far the best landlord I have ever had. He is kind, thoughtful and encouraging. His background in law enforcement offers additional safety on top of the security features already in place. The keyed entry and the video surveillance offers a feeling of comfort. I am a 33 year old single woman and I live alone. I thought living alone would be difficult, and scary, but because of this man and the security features... mentioned, I am able to feel safe, regardless of the increase in Anchorage crime.
I rent a one bedroom apartment. The monthly rent is competitive with the current rental market, which makes it affordable. All utilities are included in my specific unit, which makes life easy. The building is quiet. Never have I had to deal with loud neighbors or late night racket. All the people I have met in my building are very friendly. The neighbor to my right has gone out of his way to help me on more than one occasion. The elderly woman who lives down the hall is such a sweet lady. I enjoy going into the hall to chat with her when she is doing her daily walking. The building has a family type atmosphere. Everyone looks out for each other and it is truly unlike any other place I have lived before. The property manager has gone out of his way to give me words of advice and to offer encouragement. I respect and trust this man, and I believe I have earned the same from him. These are the kinds of things that makes this rental feel so much like home. That feeling of community is refreshing. And as I mentioned, I live alone. But the environment and the people I share a building with make living alone not feel so lonely.
The one and only time I had a maintenance issue in my unit, I slipped a note under the property manager's door, and the very next day, he had licensed professionals in my unit to get the repair taken care of.
The laundry facility is clean and well kept. The hallways are vacuumed and cleaned regularly. The property is up kept on a regular basis. The parking lot is easy to maneuver.
There is really not a single thing I could say that is even less than positive about the building, the grounds, the people or the actual unit.
