Stoney Brook

The older buildings suck. I know they're cheap but please don't rent an apartment in the older buildings... So far there has been a millipede infestation, at least 4 water leaks (that they had to shut off everyone's water for). Oh and the water shut offs can last up to 2 days. I'm on the second floor and unfortunately I can hear my upstairs neighbors every move. No matter how light you walk, the floor will creak. The dishwasher doesn't even fill up with water, it just gets warm. The toilets are... tiny and rusty. Oh and the toilet tank randomly overflows. The entire building shakes when someone's washer is on the spin cycle. please don't rent here, I don't care how cheap it is. It's awful. If the offer you an apartment in the older section, run! The are patched up. I’ve had leaking since I‘be gotten here that goes from 3rd floor unit to the 1st. I’m in the middle. They patched it up, but there is so much mold going throughout every inch of this apartment. I didn’t resign my lease and I’m on a monthly agreement. Every month they come up with new charges. They don’t let you see a record of charges once they’ve paid. So if I don’t check before my automatic draft, then I have no idea... what they’ve charged me for. My family and I called Stoney Brook our home for three years. They took care of our needs from start to finish. Always a quick turnaround time from maintenance requests. The rent was reasonable compared to other comparable local apartment complexes. Cable, pest control, and waste disposal was included in the rent.

You can tell by the amount of employees on site daily maintenance and landscaping is top priority. Plenty for family to do on campus with the swimming pool, exercise room and... tennis/basketball court. Swimming pool is monitored as residents are provided a pool pass. Also, never had problems with parking.

I only moved because I bought a house but I would definitely recommend StoneyBrook Apartments.

If there was an option for no stars, that is what they would get. Stoney Brook is NOT SAFE. I have lived here over a year now and this has been the worst complex I've lived in. There are police out here & that's not just patrolling the area. They are always getting called out there. Since I've lived here, the things that I know of, there has been a truck stolen, someone has pulled a gun out on someone due to driving to slow (wth), apartments being broken into & property being stolen, women being... harassed by men outside. It is not a safe place you want to live. This would be a case of "looks can be deceiving" Also, people don't pick up there pets poo, there are roaches everywhere. As soon as you walk outside you can see them scatter. They are also inside along with gnats (which I think are coming through my sink). But that's what happens when you live around people that are nasty and don't take care of their home. I am disgusted by this place and will be very excited when my lease is up. Read More

Went to inquire about apartments and felt right at home as soon as i walked in the door, very informative and knowledgeable personell,they answered all my questions without any hesitation or thought, they had all the answers ready.
