Prior to me moving here I requested a bottom apartment specifically because I had children under 6. (What kid under six don’t run when walking or jump randomly). I was told I had a bottom apartment multiple times before viewing and signing my lease. I viewed the apartment and was disgusted. It was a top unit appliances are old and outdated, paint job was poor, windows hardly open, tore up blinds that were taped together ..etc The ONLY reason I signed my lease is because I already turned my keys... in for my previous apartment and I could not wait for another unit to open. So now that I’m upstairs the resident under complains about noise and I get warnings about it, although I requested a bottom unit specifically to avoid this. I lived at those apts for several years. The rent is very cheap, but you get what you paid for. Roaches are a BIG problem in some of the buildings and the management tries to put a bandaid on the problem and use some home-made remedies instead of calling professionals in and taking care of the entire building. My apartment was ALWAYS clean and yet, I still had roaches. I complained over and over, with little to no improvements. I hired my own professional service to come out and they said there... was really nothing they could do unless management paid to have the entire building/all 8 apartments treated. I bought my own spray and literally sprayed my apt every single day to keep the roaches at a minimum, but nothing stopped them. Read More
