This cozy downtown suite features an open-plan living area with a fully equipped kitchen, complete with apartment-sized appliances and small appliances for a home-like feel. The kitchen also provides salt, pepper, cooking oil, and fresh coffee beans, along with a counter area with stool seating for two. The studio space includes a double bed, a double futon, and a TV with standard cable. Blackout blinds on the window help reduce light and offer views of the parking lot towards the Lizard Range/Fernie Alpine Resort. The bathroom boasts a large walk-in shower with in-floor heating, and hotel-quality towels, locally made hand soap, and body wash/shampoo are provided. The unit's heat sources include a small oil space heater and in-floor heating in the bathroom.
A communal laundry room is available for your use during your stay. Parking is conveniently located right outside the building.
Nestled in the Rocky Mountains of southeastern British Columbia, Canada, Fernie is known for its picturesque landscapes and charming community. This suite is conveniently located in the historic downtown core, surrounded by boutique shops, restaurants, cafes, and art galleries. Fernie Alpine Resort is a short 12-minute drive away, with a shuttle bus available during winter months. While a vehicle is recommended to reach the property, you can easily get around on foot or by bike once you're there.
Please expect some local noise throughout the day and into the evenings due to the downtown location and proximity to bars, especially during peak season. Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the unit, property, or on decks, balconies, or courtyards. No pets are allowed. No parties are permitted. Sports equipment should not be brought inside the suite; use the provided storage area. Fines and/or eviction may occur for broken building rules. For guests staying for work, do not track mud, coal, or any work-related mess into the building or unit, and do not bring work materials or supplies into either. A minimum of $50/hr will be charged if flooring is coal/dirt stained and requires treatment, including communal areas. Laundering of 'coal' work clothes is not allowed in the unit's washing or drying machines. There will be a minimum surcharge of $150 per bedroom if laundry is stained beyond recovery and/or the unit is found excessively dirty. Dark laundry sets are available to help prevent staining; notify us when booking if dark laundry is required, as late requests may incur a change-over fee. A fine of up to $1000 will be issued, and you could be asked to vacate if any house rules are not obeyed.
