Cleanliness in Your Home

Cleanliness in Your Home

If you are anything like me, you can’t be productive living in a mess.  Even as a college student, I find myself incapable of studying in my apartment unless it is clean.  It keeps me organized and relieves me of any unnecessary stress that would be added on top of my upcoming exam or test.  Yet cleaning your apartment does not have to be a weekend project.  All it takes are simple steps everyday to maintain a clean living area, and prevent the accumulation of clutter in your home.  Here are some simple steps to keeping a tidy home:   1.        Take out the trash on scheduled days.  Trash pick-up is a recurring event.  But if you can’t take it to the curb, they can’t take it away.  Don’t let trash bags sit around stinking up your apartment.   2.       After you use dishes, immediately clean them or place them in the dishwasher.  This keeps your kitchen nice and clean, and averts piling up of dishes in the sink.   3.       Keep your clothes organized; dirty clothes in the hamper and clean clothes in the dresser or closet.  It’s a pretty simple concept.  Fold or hang your clothes right after you wash them, too!  This way you won’t have to hurdle mounds of clothes in your room, and clean clothes won’t be wrinkly anymore!   4.       Keep your bathroom organized.  An organized bathroom gives your day more structure.  Keeping everything neat and organized cuts back on time when getting ready for work and going to bed.  It helps you develop a daily routine.   These are just a few ways to keep your place cleaner.  If you have any other tricks of the trade feel free to share with us.  We would love to hear from you!   Picture Courtesy of: nicktakespics
