If you love rats, you should live here!
If you’re on the first floor, your patio (which is also where your washer and dryer are) basically doubles as rat territory. We’ve been dealing with rats, nests, and droppings for months. Management can’t put out rat poison, so they’ll just string you along for months via email and not actually do anything.
When the rats chewed through and built a nest inside our (very expensive) paddleboard plus damaged other items, we were told to file a claim with renters insurance. In California, landlords... are responsible for keeping properties free of rodents, so insurance won’t cover anything. Management’s response? That it was our fault for storing things on our own patio. What???
To be fair, the maintenance and pest control teams are kind and responsive. Which is great, because you’ll be seeing a lot of them.
The pool area is nice, but I’ve also watched rats run around the fire pit and lounge chairs. So not exactly relaxing.
There is 0 management on site, so good luck getting any problem solved. They’ll take 3 days to respond to each email, especially if it’s urgent.
If you’re thinking about renting here, reconsider. If you ignore that advice, make sure you get a 2nd floor apartment. But seriously, don’t rent here. If it wouldn’t cost us essentially 3 months of rent to break our lease, we would have left already.
