The Hawthorne

Located in the heart of Carmichael, within walking distance to stores and Carmichael Park, this apartment complex is excellent in price, value, and condition. I have to give special thanks to Valerie, the property manager, who takes care of any issues and is very nice and efficient. The old reviews you see online are from when they didn't have the right property management in place. I was extremely pleased with all the amenities and highly recommend The Hawthorne apartments.

Rental company is unprofessional and there is poor communication among staff. I was told there were 3 apartments available, and I could tour one. I was on time to the tour and no one showed up or answered any of my calls. The leasing agent opened the office door and was confused, stating there were no units available to tour, questioning why I was there. Instead of apologizing for the situation, she still tried to sell me on renting an apartment here. No thank you.

I have lived here for just over 2 yrs. We got new owners and property management, they have and still are doing a lot of work to this place and they are doing a great job, the place is looking terrific, I have never had any major issues, and any work orders I have put in are handled quickly, some on the very same day, getting ready to sign my new lease !!!

Im writing this review right now as an outlet for my extreme anger at this place! i have been paying this place high dollar rent way over what this place should rent for. I see all the amenities they list and I dont have any of them in my unit but i pay for them such as carpet that has been in the unit probably 10 yrs no hardwood floors. my sinks and tub all have big ugly chips and gouges in them. they put in dual pane windows but they do no good because the doorways are so drafty. They raise my… rent every chance they get it has literally doubled since i moved in 7 years ago. If i could afford to move i would in a heartbeat. Add insult to injury someone has been parked in my parking spot for 3 days and I cant do anything about it because so called security wants to see 3 different documents from me just to prove who I am and which space is mine including my rental agreement which i haven't had a copy of for 5 years because i just would do it through the resident portal on the internet but that doesn't exist anymore because of another change in management companies which i cannot keep up with . I have never felt so ripped off in my life as i do with this place. do yourself a great favor and don't lower your standards like i did keep shopping for a nice place to live because The 'Thorne is not it just take it from me and spend your hard earned money somewhere else where they respect it and you because this place wont!!
