Casa Escondida

There was a serious problem of undependable delivery of hot water to my shower and bathroom during 21 months of occupancy. During a 6 week period the water sometimes became dangerously hot after I made only slight adjustments to increase the temperature. A couple of neighbors had similar problems. Management and their service reps tried and made some improvements, but neither they nor their outside plumber could eliminate the problem. Because of this I moved out in January 2026.

Also a few... other neighbors told me they had problems with inconsistent delivery of hot water, though not the degree of seriousness as I experienced . And in November and December 2025, the hot water was off for several days during daytime hours, to me and many of the 150 apartments in my building, because of repairs and adjustments to the hot water system.

Except for these hot water problems, Casa Escondida was a very nice and reasonably priced place to live. Read More

"a great place to call "home". The entire staff always greet you with a smile and are very helpful to our needs, and are quick to attend to any problems that arise . The grounds and facilities are kept clean every day by friendly courteous workers. The workout rooms are rarely crowded and the pool area is lovely. I love the convenience of the elevator and open parking. I live alone here without a car. Very nice to have Stater Brothers next store with Kaiser and the Senior Center across the... street. Casa Escondida is an over 55 apartment complex located about 3 blocks from downtown Escondido. Its best attribute is that it enables and encourages seniors who are not particularly mobile to mingle freely with other senior residents. There is a wide array of activities.
