THIS COMPLEX TAKES ADVANTAGE OF TENANTS THEY THINK WON’T FIGHT BACK

I’ve stepped in to help a friend who moved out over three months ago, and her security deposit still hasn’t been returned. She fulfilled her lease, left the apartment in good condition, and followed every move-out requirement — yet management continues to give excuse after excuse instead of issuing her deposit or providing a proper itemized statement.

Under California law, security deposits must be returned within 21 days of...
move-out. This complex is well past the legal deadline, and it’s clear they are hoping some tenants won’t know their rights or won’t push back.

Every time we reach out, they respond only when pressured, and even then, it’s another round of excuses. It feels like a deliberate pattern of taking advantage of renters they think are easy targets.

Security deposits are legally protected funds, not optional “extra money” for management to hold onto. Renters deserve transparency, accountability, and timely communication — not manipulation and delays.

Do Not Move Here

Do not move here! They still have NOT returned my deposit or an itemized letter of deductions within the legal 21 days limit. I have called property several times and no one responds. Parking is horrible if you have more than 1 car. Water is yellow out of faucets. Property is very loud and a lot of homeless hang out in the laundry facilities.
