Completely unsuitable for a family or someone looking to rent for more than 1 year. Once every few days the entire complex will be engulfed in a horrific smell akin to marijuana or burning rubber. It happens at night when you're trying to sleep and shut windows won't keep it out. The landlord will tell you it's just a skunk. We think it was the car repair shop next door burning old oil. I developed respiratory issues that still haven't cleared up. There are no gates around the property.... Homeless people are always picking through the dumpsters and sleeping in the parking lot. This complex is separated from its neighbor by a tiny two-lane alley so you have quadruple the amount of neighbors because you can hear & smell everything above you next to you and across from you. If you live on the north side of the complex you may get a better view of the hills but you'll have to deal with the car repair shop that's right next door. They make a lot of noise and foul smells all day long. Only one parking space is assigned per unit, uncovered. The driveway to enter and exit the parking lots into the street is extremely steep and it's very easy to bottom out and scrape. Street parking is very limited. Repairmen employed by the landlord are far from professional and most likely her relatives. They work late into the night, making noise and playing their music and using foul language. They'll fix whatever the problem is, but just barely. They leave a big mess behind like muddy footprints and if they have to move something they won't put it back. Walls are so thin you can hear your neighbor yawn. There is a large gap under each front door that allows dirt and leaves to blow inside when the gardeners come through with leaf blowers. The landlord Nancy should not be managing an apartment complex. Before we moved out, she told us our apartment looked great and that management would only charge us about $90 for carpet cleaning, $100 for painting, and nothing for cleaning. When we got back our security deposit check, they had charged us over $200 for painting and $90 for carpet cleaning and $100 for apartment cleaning! I called Nancy and thus began an epic back-and-forth involving her denying what she had told us and that I must be confused and she was oh-so-sorry, etc...They robbed us and refused to provide any contact information for management so we couldnt escalate. Summary: Incompetent management, incompetent maintenance, probably squeaking by on the legal spectrum.
