Only live here if you have to

Upon looking at this place from afar there are nice amenities and cleanliness. But from the inside it's a far different story. Here's the good side. You can buy a parking space in a protected garage BUT it's $200 a month. There is an in unit washing machine and dryer for free, excellent. Cleaners come every once in a while. Things are relatively new and clean. If you get good roommates you just might be okay. But let me tell you. There is no one on site to help you. An alarm is going off… downstairs constantly. Packages were stolen frequently. The fire alarm goes off regularly, even in the middle of the night. I heard constant screaming, glass breaking, and even witnessed around 12 police raiding an apartment. I witnessed a pool of blood on the floor and poop in the stairwell. My room started relatively affordable but was increased $200 when I renewed. There are no good views, but my window faced the inside of the apartment so I got almost no sunlight. I am working on getting my security deposit back and they have a $350 service charge and additional fees that makes no sense. Personally, I hated living here.

Don’t Move Here

Building is dirty, there’s always a stench in the elevators, cleaners only come once a month (if they come at all), fire alarm is always going off Ecco is not giving residents their security deposits for those who signed a lease before they took over management.

I have lived here for three months, and when I moved in, I was informed that somebody would come to clean the common areas once every two weeks, and we would get a stipend of supplies at the beginning of each month. We have not had either one of these services in over two months. in addition, they do not have a gym or a rec room anymore as they tore them out to make more room for extra apartments. Oh, the extra apartments are being built right now, and will wake you up every morning around 8 AM.… Proceeded with extreme caution.

Much improved Member Support Staff

First, I want to give thanks to Jolene in Member Support!. Recently, she has support me with a number of things that I had been having issues with, and unable to get a resolution. She is very empathetic, and does everything in her power to assist, and if she can't resolve she works internally to get help. I hope that we can get more people like her to support in membership services. However, I have had great luck recently with the majority of the staff there. It was pretty bad, but there… has been a 360 turn around in support. Thank you Team!

I also want to mention Kelly in sales support, and Jollybee. Jollybee is a Jolly to speak with and she also go over and above!! Never thought I would be writing this type of review regarding support at the Fountains from past experiences. I love living here, and things continue to get SO MUCH BETTER. :) looking forward to a LONG stay.

AVOID - this place is horrible

This place is such a nightmare! HORRIBLE management, poor communication.

- ”Weekly cleanings” rarely happen and NEVER weekly or adequately
- No regular communications with residents
- No help on-site
- No phone numbers so you can only email people overseas or in other states
- No emergency help or assistance when you call their “emergency line” — waited over 2 weeks for a callback
- Different pricing than listed online
- Unauthorized charges to my resident account (with no explanation or… memo)
- Random fees/hidden charges for EVERYTHING
- Cleaning and maintenance is subpar and always have a bad attitude
- Broken AC unit
- Damage to walls, paints
- Not fully furnished like describes online or shown on tour
- Sketchy/slimey practices overall
- Fire alarm goes off in the lobby 24/7
- Almost daily people strung out/passed out outside the main door, no security and no building management
- No regular trash pickup

It’s so wild that this many problems exist in a practically brand new building. The building itself is beautiful, brand new and accessible to Hollywood/East Hollywood/DTLA/etc. I love the building but the management and communication is HORRIBLE. Typical LA SLUMLORDS. It’s very obviously this company has over expanded without the support or infrastructure in place.
