The Villas at Park La Brea

Remember the saying about fools gold? This place has the worst management you will most likely ever come across!

Lived here for two years, I had the best time moving in and really thought that I found a gem in LA where I could feel safe and thrive in the city! I promise that there are so many other management companies and complexes with competitive rates, this management was super welcoming for the first year that I lived here, but since then it's gone SO downhill!

However, living here has presented a few problems - utilities are EXPENSIVE! It adds another 100-200 dollars every month (and I really... thought this was the norm, silly me!) but living elsewhere has shown me it's not the norm at all - there have been issues of getting overcharged where management needs to send out an email to credit everyone for their mistake. The walls are incredibly thin, I had my TV volume at a level of 14 (out of 100) and had the patrol office let me know that I had to lower my volume due to a noise complaint. In addition to that, the elevators are broken around once a month - so if you're trying to get from your unit to your car, be ready to walk the entire complex and underground garage to get there!

Moving out of my unit... There's a standard cleaning fee, which is fine, but be ready for the fun battle of getting your deposit back because they're going to charge standard painting fees even if you have dust marks from your furniture - even if you're paying for their full cleaning services - best get a magic eraser to clean your walls otherwise you'll be paying 500 dollars! The apartment is great by itself But before you will decide to move in make sure that Aimco not longer a part of this apartment complex.
