Ananda Community

I've loved my time at Ananda Apartments. There's a unique sense of peace and community here, despite being right in the heart of Silicon Valley. It feels like a little oasis. The communal garden is truly a highlight – it's so lush and well-maintained, bursting with flowers and fresh veggies.

The Friday night communal dinners are a lovely tradition. It's a great way to connect with neighbors in a relaxed setting, and the food is always delicious! While the morning meditations aren't something I... have participated in regularly, it's clear that they are a meaningful part of the community for many residents. I appreciate that there's absolutely no pressure to be 'spiritual' to feel welcome here. Everyone is friendly and open-minded.

The amount of greenery throughout the property is fantastic. It really contributes to the peaceful atmosphere and makes it feel less like a typical apartment complex. For those looking to rent a very special, peaceful, reasonably-priced, well-maintained apartment in an unusually sweet little garden-like community, this may have been under your flower-yearning noses all along.  Yes, right here in Mt View, a few paces from Palo Alto.  It's a pretty few acres of oasis, adorned with trees, gardens, birdsong, lawns, flowers, meditative cabanas and icons, and an inviting swimming pool too.  It's also located by the Caltrain railroad tracks which for some is an... occasional whish-by of urban charm, and for others is episodic urban noise. The most remarkable thing about this little community is its quiet kindness.  Everyone I met is present, inclusive, generous, aware, and naturally kind, as if this were the only way to live -- and of course it is!  If you like beautiful surroundings and lovely people, I suggest giving this Community an un-rushed visit!  And maybe stay for a while or a decade. My unit overlooks the expansive green lawn with big trees, flowers & meditation gazebos. My life here is calming & joyful because the residents & mgmt are kind, caring, & considerate. My apartment is lovely. It feels like a haven in a busy world!

I've lived in many different places in the Bay Area including the beautiful coast near Half Moon Bay. But this one has been one of the nicest places I have lived. I don't plan to ever leave! The grounds are gorgeous with many beautiful trees, flowers, and plants. It is quiet and peaceful, which I really value. The residents here are kind and considerate. It's been a godsend for me to feel like I am in a genuine community, especially in this last year of shelter-in-place.
