Shadow Hills Apartments

I currently live here and have been since March 2014. Since day one, maintenance has been ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. Dishwasher doesnt work ( the water doesnt empty out), we've asked maintenance to come look at it, he walked in and said he would come back to fix it but never did. Meanwhile the apt stank like foul sitting water and we had to clean it and empty it out ourselves becasue the maintenance man said he was too busy. We thought fine but whatever. Next we didnt have a screen door for our... balcony. Asked for it several times and it took them 4 months to finally bring it but it doesnt even fit the door! Currently we are still waiting for a properly fitted screen for our balcony. Now our closet had this weird brown ring and we asked maintenance to check it out for early signs of mold infestation. He came afte 3 month, looked and said it was ok. Then it rained and water started leaking and dripping like a faucet in the middle of the bedroom. Gave them our bedroom key to fix it, came home that day, and NOTHING was done to fix our temorary handle the situation. Oh and the brown ring in our closet, sure enough we were right it was mold and now it has continued to grow up to the point that there is a hole the size of a baseall in the ceiling of our closet. So we called management and maintenance and get this, they both said " its okay! no big deal". Im a nurse with a 9month old son. Mold is a health hazard and this is absolutely not okay! The same day, our car was parked in our parking space on the property and the rain flooded the sewage drains which then caused the parking lot to flood up inclusing inside the car. When we tried to move the car, the car turned off on us beacuse water had filled the exhaust. So we tried to cry out the car ASAP but mold then grew inside our car. We paid to have the mold excavated from our car and its was very expensive. We sent photos, dates and letter of complaints to its corporate office Anza Management and get this. They said the car flooded because it was our fault and we would not be reimbursed. We finaly had enough of this attroceous place and have given management ( Dulce) and the maintenance man plenty of chances that we finaly called the Housing Authority and even they were appalled by the photos and response from corporate.

Consider yourself warned. And FYI, 3 of our neighbors had to call housing authority for almost the exact same problems. Read More

I love my two bedroom apartment. I love that it has two full bathrooms. It is very spacious w/balcony. Grocery stores, Freeways and recreational parks are pretty close the property, which I find very convenient.
