Castle Garden Apartments

When I first moved in the apartment manager was nice until you get on his bad side which I never was. He was always on top of everything and kept the tenants in check. After a few months of living there, they switched management probably twice. No one was in the office ever before 1 pm so It was almost impossible to ever reach someone. Now the whole time living there I was very uncomfortable. The walls are SUPER THIN. The plumbing was terrible because the shower was always backed up, and the... apartment needed repairs that were totally not my fault but never got fixed properly. They would go the cheap route. Now that was all like that since the first day I moved in. The maintenance man told me he would come into my apartment twice to connect the smoke detectors and never did. The walk ways are at times cluttered with other tenants stuff blocking the sidewalk. There were always police coming in and out of the complex. My neighbors that lived behind me would always wake up my 7 year old and I because they were having domestic fights and both parties were yelling and destroying stuff on the property at the crack of dawn. They're are usually homeless people or sketchy people walking around that don't live there. Now, my real problem was the new management. They sent me an email, a text message and posted a flyer on my door about rent being due and that it had to be paid on time before or on the first of said month. Now mind you I ALWAYS PAID MY RENT A WEEK EARLY. It was all super unnecessary. When I moved out I left the apartment in the exact same condition that I received it in. Even went the extra mile of sanitizing and cleaning EVERYTHING before I left. Well that didn't matter to them. They still kept my whole security deposit and they DO NOT return your holding deposit either. My whole experience here was terrible from the start from loud crazy neighbors, to bad management.
