Unprofessional/Shady
last Thursday I called to follow up on my app. I spoke with Gabrielle (the leasing manager) at that time and she told me I passed my screening and she was waiting on my boyfriend's screening to come in.Once his screening came in she told me the next step would be her emailing us the lease and the payment portal so we could get the deposit paid and the apartment taken off the market until our move in date. Friday,Saturday, and Monday morning I DID NOT hear from them so I... called Monday afternoon. now when I speak to Gabby all of a sudden there's an income issue. keep in mind they have all the paperwork they needed and if there was a problem why didn't I hear about this problem Thursday,Friday, Saturday,or Monday morning. if this was a real issue why didn't Gabby bring it up Thursday or go as far as to tell me what our next step was once his screening came back. Gabby said she would make a decision by 4:30 and call.I'm still waiting on that phone call.
I understand if you choose another applicant but don't lie to get out of it and keep people in limbo until they figure it out themselves.SHADY SHADY SHADY!

Disappointed with management. I use to live at this apartment complex for several years and my experience has changed from good to awful. I would like to start off with the multiple changes with the management and how (recently), contacting anyone has become extremely difficult.
I lived in these apartments when the old name was Wedgewood Apartments. I had then moved into a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom unit. First disappointment, I was upset how dirty the new apartment appeared (after being told it... was cleaned), I had taken multiple pictures and reported this to management, ended up cleaning the place myself. Management noted this.
Then, the apt complex was bought out by a new company. The new management appeared to be wonderful, working and communicating with the residents to keep the place happy & clean. If I had problems, the new grounds keeper was on it, fixed any problems in my old apartment, I lived in an older model with carpet, newer models do not have carpet.
After some time, management changed again and so did the grounds keeper. Management was difficult to contact, I had to leave messages with an office message company to get in contact with someone.
When I had scheduled my move out date with management, I requested a final walk-through. The management made an appointment to visit the 1st week of the month I was to move (my move out date was the 31st of July). During the walk-through I was told my place is well kept and amazingly the carpet is in great condition.
The week of my move-out date, I requested management to do a final walk-through. Never received any contact or information from management. I did talk to a lady the week after (who was a manager at another complex, who answered my call to Davenport), she explained staff was out due to covid, but she would message my management, "cc" me on it (I was never carbon copied) and said, I should receive a call back from management soon after.
Fast forward it is now the end of August, I moved out on July 31st. I have NOT received any contact information from management or information regarding my deposit.
Davenport has become garbage. The security gate has been broken for too many months to count, the garbage area would get ran sacked by the homeless and the residents would wake up to a terrible mess, ton of fights breaking out at the pool area and people doing burnouts in parking lot.
Management needs to show they care about there residents and provide better security for their tenants.

Don’t put any deposit down until you talk to an actual person. I made the mistake of putting over 200 dollars for a “holding fee” no one ever followed up with me regarding the apartment availability and now I have been trying to get my money back with no luck. Definitely will make sure any apartment I apply for is not owned by The Haven.
