Cockroaches and cockroach landlord

Living here for a year this was by far the worst place I’ve lived. Not only were there cockroaches inside and outside of the apartment, but flies were constantly flying around outside the apartments from all the filth in the community. Homeless people were digging inside and sleeping in the trash cans and although gated; I never was able to feel comfortable walking at night. The landlord never allowed for a final walk through and over charged for “damages” he only found in the apartment and took... almost a grand out of my deposit. When asking for his help, he claimed a $50 an hour fee although it was never agreed on or stated in the rental agreement which I found sketchy. He was unavailable when needed and was happy to bother at his own convenience. Extremely rude and ignorant man. Parking was never available, the hallways smelled of other people’s cooking and odors. I would never recommend living in this complex, it has no lightning and is very depressing and dirty. This is a warning to anyone prospective on this property.
