Regret my rental
Property management company is extremely unresponsive. You can't speak to anyone when you call, you have to leave a voice message and hope they get back to you which, at times has taken 6 weeks. The hot water in the building has broken multiple times in my short tenancy. Taking days at a time to fix. There is no noise abatement in the building and my apartment glass is single pane making it extremely noisy (and I'm not particularly sensitive). Commuters line up against the block 3-5 every day... with horns blaring. New paint, tiles, and some modern looking appliances don't make this worth it.

Art Deco Studio in Central SF Neighborhood
The Allen Arms is a 62 unit Art Deco building with large units and responsive building management. The building is very pet friendly and while units are somewhat dated (1939), hardwood floors, large windows, and an ideal location make it a great value. Safeway and Whole Foods are both a block away and there is a laundromat, dry cleaners, and private laundry room all in the building. Appliances are all electric and do not include dishwashers. Utilities are separate but never exceed $100.
