Toluca Court

I was very excited to rent here, but had an absolute nightmare trying to get approved. Management is extremely hard to get a hold of. They own a few properties in the area and there is no manager on site at Toluca Court. When I first toured, I was not told of this and ended up having to go across the street to find someone. The number listed is not correct, and when I was provided the correct number, we found it goes straight to voicemail, which is always full. On top of that, nobody on the team… is on the same page. Every time we spoke with someone new, they had no idea who we were and sometimes the person at the front desk did not even have access to our file and could not help. We had to follow up constantly, with me making multiple on-site visits to try to get an update. There were errors on the offer to rent that they sent us, and it took 2 full business days to revise. In trying to verify our income and residence history, they contacted both our supervisors and our guarantor's supervisor, all of whom said they were asked far more invasive questions than they ever had to provide for anyone else's income verification. They even contacted my parents to verify I used to live in my childhood home. 2 days before our move-in date they told us we wouldn't be able to move until 2 days after that, which was incredibly frustrating, unprofessional and disrespectful as we'd already arranged utilities, time off work, a moving truck and flights for people who were going to help us. Then we realized management had entered our guarantor's social security number wrong, and the only way we could move forward is if she flew in from Washington and presented her social security card, drivers license, birth certificate, and work-issued ID. We had to rescind our application THE DAY BEFORE OUR MOVE-IN DAY because of this negligence, and my roommate was hung up on when she made that call. I would not wish this process upon anyone.
