Other reviews already reflect many of the ongoing issues at this property, but it is necessary to add my experience.

Management has demonstrated a consistent lack of concern for residents. The overall condition of the complex is unacceptable, and day-to-day operations appear disorganized. Maintenance staff frequently block parking areas and exits with golf carts, creating unnecessary inconvenience for residents.

Residents were given only six days’ notice for extensive renovations projected to... last through the end of summer. This level of notice is inadequate and reflects poor planning and little consideration for tenants’ quality of life.

The dog park amenities are substandard and poorly maintained. Although the property is reportedly under “new management,” the same unresolved issues persist, raising serious concerns about whether any meaningful changes have actually taken place.

While many residents are respectful, management consistently fails to enforce the community’s smoking policies. As a result, odors travel throughout the complex, creating an unhealthy living environment and placing military service members and other residents at risk. This issue has been repeatedly overlooked.

To be clear, the primary issue is not the tenants—it is management’s ongoing failure to uphold basic standards, communicate effectively, and enforce community policies. Additionally, despite renovations lasting through the end of summer and all amenities being closed, management has shown no willingness to offer rent adjustments or concessions. This is particularly concerning given that amenities are a major factor in why residents choose to move into this community in the first place. Preserve at Melrose is a super cool place to rent.
they have awesome amenities such as a Activity Center, Pool house, and business center.
the office workers are super helpful especially David. he is super nice and chill and always fun to talk to.

I currently live here and have for two years. But the quality of this complex has gone downhill drastically. The front office is rude and unhelpful. Neighbors are extremely loud and nothing is ever done about it. Parking is horrible. People speed through the complex with blind corners everywhere. Security is NO where to be found. But you best believe if your car isn’t in the right spot you’ll be towed. They spend an awful lot of time cleaning SOME buildings, never others. The dog park would be... awesome if they actually cleaned it every once in a while. But instead it smells like a urine cesspool. Don’t waste you’re money. There are plenty of other places with amenities equal to or better. We absolutely will not be renewing our lease.

You can call the office first thing in the morning(630) and leave a message about someone letting their dog poop in the hallways and it’ll still be there when you get home from work(530)! You can call the office about it again, and they say “it’s in a service request, we’ll check on it.” No one came to clean it. No one came to power wash the hallway. Not only does this happen often, you can complain all you want and nothing happens. Can’t wait to move out when we can.

I've had a great experience for the last 5 months that I have lived here. Great staff, beautiful apartment, fun resident events and amazing gym. I highly recommend!
