Be Careful — Communication Stopped After I Applied
I had a great initial tour experience with Jason, who was professional, helpful, and informative. Unfortunately, everything after that went downhill quickly.
After applying and paying a holding fee (which I was told would go toward my deposit), we discussed specific move-in dates and terms that were supposed to be adjusted on their end before sending the lease. A few days later I received lease documents that had completely different dates and terms than what we discussed.
I replied to the... email immediately and heard nothing back. I later learned the email address they send lease documents from doesn’t accept replies because it goes to corporate/ownership rather than the leasing office, which created unnecessary confusion.
I eventually had to track down their real email and call multiple times just to get a response. When I finally spoke with someone, they confirmed they received my email outlining the errors and said they would review it and send a corrected lease the next day or call if they had questions. I never heard back again.
Because I wasn’t able to get clear communication or corrected documents, I was put in a position where I had to start looking for another apartment to avoid risking my move-out timeline. That added unnecessary stress and uncertainty that could have easily been avoided with basic follow-up and communication.
I was left feeling misled by the process and ultimately chose to move on, forfeiting the $250 holding fee rather than continue dealing with the uncertainty.
The contrast between the excellent first impression and what followed was disappointing. Based on this experience, I ultimately decided not to move forward.
I don’t usually leave reviews, but I wanted to share this so future applicants know what to expect from a communication and follow-through standpoint.
